Why go? We get that question often when we tell people we are going to Mexico.
Consider the questions in Romans 10:14.
But how can they call on Him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a preacher?
The simple answer to Paul’s questions is: “Without a preacher, they can’t.” The word Paul used for preacher is the Greek word keœryssoœ; which means to herald or proclaim divine truth. Well hey, that’s us! We’ll go to those that have not heard and proclaim the Gospel!
Post over, right? Not exactly.
Take a look at verse 15.
And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the gospel of good things.
That’s why we go. We go because the Creator of the universe has called us to proclaim the Gospel to those who have not heard. We go because we have been sent by God.
Think of someone who needs to hear the Gospel. What can you do to proclaim it to them?
